Hamro Mato Ghar was constructed with utmost care by using the mud extract from the land itself and promoting local materials. This age-old building technique is part of Nepal's vernacular architecture and exhibit’s a model eco-house to inspire others with a number of eco-friendly features:

Rammed Earth Construction:

Literally hand-made, is an ancient method where natural raw materials, mainly earth, are compacted into layers to form a monolithic structure with 18- inch thick wall with proven durability.

Natural Insulation:

The thick walls offer excellent thermal mass, moderating indoor temperatures throughout the year, reducing the need for heating or cooling.

Rainwater Harvesting:

Capitalizing on Godavari's rainfall, we've incorporated a system that collects, stores, and purifies rainwater for household use and and also a wasted treatment.

Organic Farm:

The property boasts a farm filled with native plants and an organic vegetable, promoting local biodiversity and adequate fresh produce for a small family.
